Twenty-five elements of Daesh terrorist group were killed in the ongoing military operation to liberate al Qa'im town in western Anbar, a high-level military source at al Jazeera Operations Command said on Friday.
A force of the Iraqi army's 8th division clashed with Daesh terrorists in southeastern al Qa'im, killing 25 and inflicting material damage on them, the source told Alsumaria news channel.
The Iraqi security forces, tribal forces and Popular Mobilization Units are conducting a wide-scale military operation to dislodge Daesh militants from Rawa and al Qa'im towns.
