Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry arrived in Manama on Saturday to attend a consultative meeting of the foreign ministers of Egypt, Bahrain, the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
The four-way meeting is due to open on Sunday.
Bahraini Foreign Minister Khaled ben Ahmed Al Khalifa welcomed Shoukry upon arrival at the airport.
The meeting falls within the framework of an agreement reached during the Cairo meeting of the foreign ministers earlier this months to hold continued consultations on ongoing efforts to stop Qatar's support for terrorism and extremism as well as its interference into the internal affairs of regional states.
The four states have cut ties with Qatar in an attempt to prod it into changing its policy.
