The Backstreet Boys announced on Friday that the band will extend their In a World Like This tour and make a return to the U.S. The band appeared via satellite on Good Morning America this morning. "Due to overwhelming demand on Facebook and Twitter... 'Backstreet's back, alright!'" the band sang. The Backstreet Boys had originally kicked off the In a World Like This tour in June 2013 in anticipation of their reunion album release of the same name. Positive response was overwhelming, and the band performed in front of thousands of fans per night. The tour will return to North America on May 3 with a performance in Moncton, New Brunswick, and their first U.S. appearance will be on May 22 in Seattle. Singer Avril Lavigne will also join the tour. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 21, but starting today, fans can get early access to presale tickets available on Thursday, March 20.
