Damascus film festival postponed

According to an Egyptian daily, Syrian officials decided to postpone the Damascus International Film Festival after many Arab countries announced their intention to boycott the event scheduled for November. Arab country's main aim is to send a political message to the Syrian regime after its violent crackdown on unarmed protesters. Egyptian and Syrian actors are the most divided over the issue. Syrian actress Raghda earlier announced her full support of the Syrian regime and accused the revolutionist of having a foreign agenda.
