Uggie the dog wore diamonds worth £120,000 ($226,154 NZD) to a pre-Oscars party. The showbiz pooch was among the invitees to Harvey Weinstein's party at Soho House in Los Angeles on Saturday and The Artist star donned a Chopard collar for the occasion. Uggie was accompanied by three bodyguards and other guests were banned from being in the lift with him. However, despite his doggy diva demands, Uggie was a big hit with other revelers and posed for pictures with a host of stars, including Katy Perry. A source said: "Lots of lady stars were gushing over him and bent down to stroke him." Alongside her picture, Katy tweeted: "Catch of the day! Uggie from "The Artist" (not the guy in the background!) (sic)" Uggie joined his The Artist castmates at the Oscars last night, where the silent movie took home five awards, including the coveted Best Picture prize. However, it is not known if the dog bagged himself one of the luxury goodie bags handed out to the guests. Celebrities including Meryl Streep, Angelina Jolie and Viola Davis took home vouchers for cosmetic surgery and a week at a weight-loss boot camp. The goodie bag also included a five-day elephant safari in Botswana, a £10,000 party for 100 people including fully catered bar from Disorano, a year's supply of blow-drys, a £2,000 spa break, nasal spray, a gold-plated crystalised bottle of hand sanitiser worth £80, cookies, chocolate and a pair of slippers.
