Egyptian actor Nour el-Sherif began filming for his new drama Khalaf Allah, with the series set to be broadcast on Egyptian television next Ramadan. Speaking to Arabstoday, el-Sherif said: "Khalaf Allah is a social TV series, through which we shed light on some of the old Egyptian customs and traditions, and the way they have changed." Nour El-Sherif explained that the drama has nothing to do with political events currently taking place in Egypt, and the story is not based on a specific period in history. The veteran actor's previous television drama, Arafa al-Bahr was broadcast on Egyptian channels last Ramadan.
