Lebanese singer Elissa has recovered control of her official page on social networking website Facebook after the page was hacked for two days by extremist groups. The hackers eventually took control of the page and proceeded to post hadith and fatwas which forbid music and singing. A technical team was put together to retrieve the page, their mission proving successful. Some believe the attack is some sort of punishment for Elissa's appearance Friday night on an episode of satirist Bassem Youssef's programme, which is known for mocking Islamists. Elissa has been in Cairo over the last few days as she attended a press conference to promote the first series of the Arabic-edition X Factor where she will be on the judging panel along with fellow Lebanese singers Wael Kfouri and Carole Samaha and Emirati Hussein al-Jasmi.
