The second attempt by Algerian singer Fula to enter Egypt failed as she was held at the airport for several hours by security officials, who refused to grant her a visa to enter the country, and then deported back to Algeria. In 1996 Fula was deported from Egypt after being accused of taking part in a prostitution scandal and was sentenced to a three year imprisonment term. According to the London based Elaph, Fula had arrived to Egypt earlier last week accompanied by her agent Mira Bahlool on EgyptAir coming from Algeria. After being kept for several hours at the airport the singer was denied entrance and was sent back to Algeria without leaving Cairo Airport. Fula had accused that the former Egyptian government that was ousted during the Revolution of January 25 is behind her being deported and that she is innocent of all accusations.
