“It’s still too early to honour me;” those were the words of Mahmoud Hemida in response to the administration of the Alexandria Film Festival which will be taking place in November 3 – 6, 2011. The administration had confirmed that they have chosen a number of artists to honour at the event for their career achievements in the industry. Some of those chosen were Yehia El Fakharani, Zahra Al Ola, Director Samir Saif and scriptwriter Bashir El Deek, who all welcomed being honoured. Nader Adly, President of the Festival said that Hemida rang him up and informed him that he would be delighted to attend the festival but that he would like to give the chance for big artists to be honoured instead.
