Egyptian actor Mohamed Sobhy has said his respect for President Mohammed Morsi increased after his speech in Tahrir Square last Friday as he apologised to those that he had not mentioned in his prior speech. Sobhy added in a phone conversation with television show Al Haqiqa on the Dream 2 station: “Because we were accustomed to former leaders who did not listen to us, my respect to this man has very much increased, in addition to the fact that I valued him more when he apologised to those he did not mention in his prior speech, affirming that he could never forget them.” Sobhy said that Morsi was keen from the beginning to balance Egypt's many political powers and all segments of society, saying: “What also increased my respect for him was when he said he respected the Egyptian judiciary, especially in this situation. This indicates his rationality. Also in Dr Morsi’s speech in Tahrir Square he mentioned all the spectra of Egyptian people.”
