Egyptian actress, Ola Ghanem is keeping busy since her appearance in Ramadan 2012’s hit series el-Zougal Rabea (The Fourth Wife) She will start shooting the first scenes of her new film, el-Princessa (The Princess) on Thursday. Ghanem will co-star with Randa el-Behiri, Shamsi and Diaa el-Mirighni. El-Princessa was scripted by Mostafa el-Sobki and will be directed by Wael Abdel Kader. Ghanem told Arabstoday that her scenes will be shot in the impoverished Cairo district of el-Mukattam, where the plot begins. She has also recently resumed filming scenes for the drama Selsal el-Damm (The Bloody Chain) which tells the story of a woman from Upper Egypt whose husband is killed by the village mayor. The story is of the widow’s revenge and is said to grip audiences when it is released. The Bloody Chain also stars Abla Kamel, Riad el-Kholi, Ahmed Saeid Abdel Ghani, Ahmed Mounir, Menna Fedali, Hadi el-Gayyar, Amira Hani, Randa el-Behiri and Diaa Abdel Khalek. It was written by Magdi Saber and directed by Mostafa el-Shal. The actress is anticipating the release of her most recent film, Christmas. The box office launch of the film has been repeatedly delayed due to political turmoil in Egypt. Christmas brings together a dream team of writer Sameh Abdul Ghar, producer Hani William and director Mohammed Hamdi.
