Egyptian actress Taysseer Fahmi has decried accusations occasionally levelled at leaders of the opposition bloc the National Salvation Front (NSF) charging them of treason and furthering other countries' interests. She said NSF leaders were working exclusively for Egypt's interests. Speaking exclusively to Arabstoday, the actress said: "I strongly reject the attack that the National Salvation Front is being subjected to. Some say they (NSF leader) are mobilising their forces for the parliamentary elections as they exploit the martyrs' blood, and to the people who promulgate this sort of thing I say politics requires that you play in all directions at the same time so you can be prepared for any surprise move by your rival." She added: "I appeal to everyone to set intolerance and political conflicts to one side and only look to Egypt's best interests which necessitate the total removal of the (Muslim) Brotherhood from the political scene because they have proven themselves incapable of running the country, especially since President Mohammed Morsi assumed office."
