Egyptian tour guide Jamila Ali praised tourism in Switzerland, saying that it is considered one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. She added that the European country is situated in the Alps and enjoys great views and surrounded by land from all sides. She said, “It has more than 1500 lakes, while the country enjoys high standard of living and stable economy.”
She added, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, that Switzerland is an important center with its neighbors. She stressed that the country is famous for its wonderful natural scenery, mountains and lakes, as topography performs a major role in the development of its economy and culture.
She stressed that the country enjoys cultural and linguistic diversity, as more than half of its population speak German-Swiss, the rest French and Italian, and other languages with low rates such as Arabic and Hinduism. She added that the country has a large number of attracting destinations, including Zurich, Geneva and Basel in addition to other destinations.
She pointed out that the Arab travelers increased during the previous year because Switzerland is considered a neutral country, where there are no crises and the security is at the highest level.
