Senior Catalan police official said on Friday that three Moroccans and one Spaniard have been detained in relation to the Catalonia attacks that killed at least 13 people and injured some 130, ABC news reported.
The Catalan police chief Josep Lluis Trapero said that the suspects were not convicted of committing terrorist acts. But one of them is wanted for committing minor offences.
Trapero noted that authorities have not identified yet the driver of the van in the Barcelona attack that killed 13 persons and injured hundreds others.
Barcelona and Cambrils attacks are believed to be linked to the house explosion that took place on Wednesday in southern Barcelona, which left one person dead and several others injured, Trapero added.
Cambrils town witnessed a second vehicle attack, hours after another in Barcelona that killed 13 people and injured dozens.
