Cairo Criminal Court on Wednesday sentenced two defendants to 10 years of hard labor, a third to three years in jail, while three others were fined 50,000 in the violence case involving elements of the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist group in Cairo's district of Dar El Salam.
The court also sentenced three other defendants to jail terms ranging between 10 to 15 years in absentia after their retrial in the same case.
The defendants were referred to prosecution over charges of committing violence acts in the surroundings of al Basateen, Maadi and Dar es Salam districts of Cairo during the period from August 2013 till 2016.
