French President Emmanuel Macron said Friday that "no progress is possible" in Turkey's bid to join the European Union after a huge post-coup crackdown and other human rights concerns.
"For relations with the European Union, it is clear that recent developments and choices allow no progress in the process," Macron said at a joint press conference in Paris with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
