Romania's left-wing Prime Minister Mihai Tudose said Monday he was stepping down after losing the backing of his party due to internal power struggles, less than seven months after his appointment.
"I am leaving with my head held high," Tudose said after senior members of his ruling Social Democrats voted to withdraw their political backing.
