The Russian Defense Ministry announced that six Tu-22M3 strategic bombers had launched a massive strike on Daesh outposts in Syrian Deir-Ezzor.
In a statement, the ministry said that the operation came within the framework of supporting the Syrian governmental forces to crush Daesh terrorists in the town of Abu Kemal.
The air strikes resulted in destroying Daesh ammunition depots, command posts and fortified areas, the statement added.
