US urges its citizens in Iraq to be cautious due to unrest

The US Embassy in Baghdad called Thursday on US citizens in Iraq to be cautious on the back of the continuing protests in Iraqi Kurdistan.
A statement released by the embassy warned that the protests in the Iraqi Kurdistan region turned violent on Tuesday and Wednesday, leading to deaths and injuries.
US citizens living and working in Iraq should maintain a heightened sense of security awareness and take appropriate measures to enhance their personal security at all times, the statement was quoted by Al Sumaria news channel as saying.
