Venezuela's government announced Tuesday that rogue pilot Oscar Perez was among seven "terrorists" killed in a police operation to arrest him the day before.
Perez, 36, shot to prominence last year when he used a helicopter to bomb Venezuela's Supreme Court at the height of anti-government protests.
Interior Minister Nestor Reverol said another six people arrested in the operation, in which two policemen were also killed, "are being prosecuted at this time."
