President Donald Trump will attend a summit of Southeast Asian nations in the Philippines in November, the White House confirmed Friday, after his attendance was previously in doubt.
The visit will take place during a November 3-14 tour that will also include stops in China, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam and the US state of Hawaii.
In addressing whether or not he would attend the ASEAN summit in Manila, Trump had previously said only that controversial Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte had "invited us so we're going to see."
