The German government on Wednesday lifted sharply its economic growth forecast for 2017, saying it now expects 2.0 percent expansion rather than the 1.5 percent predicted in April.
Berlin's sunnier outlook for the remainder of the year was based on "a broad-based recovery with a solid foundation in the domestic economy", as well as faster growth in the world economy and international trade, the Economy Ministry said in a statement
