China's global trade surplus fell in 2017

China's trade surplus with the world narrowed in 2017 but widened with the United States, a hot button issue with President Donald Trump's administration, customs data showed Friday.
The country's global exports expanded 7.9 percent while imports soared 15.9 percent, according to the General Administration of Customs.
