Trade and Industry Minister Tarek Qabil stressed that the deficit of trade balance went back by 37 percent from 36 to 32 million dollars in eight months.
In a statement based on foreign trade indicators from January to August, Qabil said non-petroleum exports increased by 11 percent from 13.5 to 15 million dollars while imports decreased by 23 percent from 45.5 to 35 million dollars.
Chemical products and fertilizers, ready to wear clothes, construction materials, textiles, engineering products, food industries, agricultural crops and furnishings topped Egypt's exports list during the aforementioned period.
