At the closing bell, the broad-based S&P 500 was up 0.4 percent to 2,810.30, while the tech-rich Nasdaq Composite gained 0.5 percent Index to 7,333.28,.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average also rose, gaining 0.2 percent to finish the week at 26,071.00, but that was below the close Wednesday, when all three indices ended at records.
