Batches of Dutch eggs contaminated with the insecticide fipronil have been found in France, the agriculture ministry said Monday, as a European food scandal widened.
Thirteen batches of contaminated eggs were found at two food-processing factories in central-western France, ministry officials said, adding they were unable to immediately say whether any of the products had been shipped to customers.
