The UAE Burjeel hospital announced the death of the Egyptian-born Iman Abdulati who was known as the fattest woman in the world, WAM news agency reported Monday.
In a statement by the hospital, it said that the reason of the death was complications due to excessive obesity, including heart disease and kidney failure, according to the hospital specialists
The hospital added that Iman was under supervision of more than 20 doctors from different disciplines who had been supervising her treatment since her arrival in the UAE.
Iman, who weighed 500 kilograms, arrived in UAE in April for treatment in Burjeel hospital, coming from Mumbai in India.
There were disputes between Iman's family and the Indian doctor, who treated Iman before moving to UAE, as they accused him of deterioration of Iman's conditions and exploiting her illness.
