yinchuan - Egypt Today

Chinese Deputy Director of Ningxia Expo Bureau Zhang Liwei asserted on Wednesday that the aim of selecting Egypt as the guest of honor during the 3rd session of the China-Arab States Expo 2017, is to highlight the capabilities that Egyptians enjoy and the recent significant progress in different fields.

He made the remarks during a meeting with an Egyptian delegation comprising a number of journalists and media men, who are currently on a visit to China.

During the meeting, the Chinese official hailed the joint cooperation with Egypt in the areas of trade, industry and tourism.

The China-Arab States Expo, held from Sept. 6 to 9, focused mainly on boosting cooperation between Egypt and China in the domain of tourism, as evidenced by the agreement signed between the Chinese Ningxia Autonomous Region and the Egyptian Tourism Authority.

In this regard, he pointed out to a joint plan developed between Egypt and China to promote tourist attractions in the two countries, citing a twining agreement inked between the Chinese Western Xia Imperial Tombs and the Pyramids.

Furthermore, Liwei praised accomplishment made by Egypt in the domain of museums and restoration of monuments.
