The Arab League (AL) called on the European Union (EU) to consider boosting air links with Arab countries when formulating laws pertaining to air transport due to geographical proximity as well as economic and social relations binding both regions.
The remarks were made on Thursday at the closing of the second meeting tackling means to deal with the EU legislation, within the framework of competition in the civil aviation field.
Over two days, the meeting was held at the General Secretariat headquarters with participation of delegations of Arab civil aviation authorities, representatives of the Arab Civil Aviation Commission and Arab Union for Air Transport along with the AL Secretariat General.
