Iraqi Airways signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Saudi side on operating flights between the two countries as of Wednesday, National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) reported Wednesday.
In a statement by Iraqi Ministry of Transport, it said "within the framework of the joint cooperation between the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority and the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation, a MoU was signed between the two parties to regulate air transport services between the two countries and provide all ground services for the Kingdom's planes and vice versa."
"The agreement also included flights from Saudi Arabia airports to the Iraqi airports and vice versa, starting on October 30, 2017.", the statement added.
