Saeed Mohammed Hareb, Secretary-General of the Dubai Sports Council, has inaugurated the seventh edition of the Dubai Sports World, organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre, DWTC.
The event will continue until 2nd September.
Hareb toured the DWTC setup of Dubai Sports World, the largest summer sports hall in the region, while accompanied by Ahmed Al Khaja, Senior Vice President of DWTC.
In his speech during the inauguration ceremony, Hareb said that Dubai Sports World has achieved considerable progress in recent years and has become the epitome of fitness and summer in Dubai, due to its exceptional location and services.
The Dubai Sports World will include over 10 leading sports academies that provide the highest level of specialised training in many popular sports, attracting amateur and professional athletes from all age groups.
It will include many specialised sports academies in various sports, such as football, cricket, tennis, wrestling, and table tennis, among others.
For the first time, and in cooperation with the Zayed Abbas Tennis Academy, visitors will have the opportunity to play table tennis inside the Dubai Sports World hall during the summer.
G Force Cricket Academy and Tennis 360 Academy will also participate in the event. A hall for skiing and BMX biking will be introduced while Shuttle Time Dubai will provide 12 courts for badminton lovers. The Dubai Professional Wrestling Academy will also participate in this year’s event after its success last year.
