H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, has issued a decision regarding the formation of the executive office of the 4th edition of the Abu Dhabi Tour, to be held in 2018.
According to the decision, the executive office will be headed by Aref Hamad Al Awani, General Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and will include the membership of Brigadier Khalifa Butti Al Shamsi, Representative of the General Command of the Abu Dhabi Police; Abdulraheem Albateeh, Representative of the Abu Dhabi Media Company; Mohammed Al Mansouri, Representative of the Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport; Hamad Al Afifi, Representative of the Safety and Traffic Solutions Committee; Abdul Nasser Yousef Omran, Representative of the UAE Cycling Federation; Mohammed Sultan Al Zaabi, Representative of the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority; Talal Mustafa Al Hashemi; Ahmed Abdullah Al Qubaisi; Ahmed Ismail Al Hosani; Mubarak Salem Al Ameri; Nouf Abdul Reda Ali; Duccio Dikati; Ahmed Mohammed Al Musaabi, and Salem Khalifa Al Marri.
The Abu Dhabi Tour is managed by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, which aims to make Abu Dhabi an international sporting capital and support its achievements, through its plans to host major international sporting events.
The third edition of the Abu Dhabi Tour, which was held over a distance of 671 kilometres over four stages, with the participation of 160 cyclists representing 20 professional teams, had achieved notable successes.
