Chairman of the Camel Race Organizing Committee HE Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Faisal Al Thani expressed today his delight at the performance of Shahaniya camels in the fourth day of the fourth day of the annual festival of Arabian Thoroughbred Camel Race for the Sword of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.
HE Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Faisal Al-Thani said that the domination of Al Shahaniya camels can continue in the festival's coming days, particularly as the older ones start competing. His Excellency also expressed his delight with the attendance of President of Qatar Olympic Committee HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani and sons of HH the Emir Hamad and Jassim, who competed today and were awarded the golden shelfa (arrow) and golden danger by HE Sheikh Joaan.
HE the Chairman of Camel Racing Committee also expressed his pleasure at the attendance of Crown Prince of Dubai HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and HRH Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The Chairman of the Camel Race Organizing Committee also commented on the atmosphere of the festival and said it was friendly from day one, despite the intense competition for earning the most wins.
