Syrian star Ayman Zidan was cast in the historic religious series "Imam El Foqaha" (Leader of the Scholars) scripted by Hamed Al Ali and directed by Sami Ganadi. "Al Khaleej" newspaper reported form Zidan: "I play the role of Caliph Hesham Bin Abdel Malek, and I have a hundred scenes or so, so I'm a guest in the series". The actor noted he agreed to be cast in the project for its value, regardless of the size of the role. The series is about the life of Emam "Jaafar Al Sadek" and tackles a transitional period in the Islamic history. Also starring is Mona Wasef, Jihan Abdel Aziz, Lilia Al Atrash and others.
