A new Syrian drama has been forced into a last-minute name change after it emerged a rival show in Egypt had already taken the name. The Syrian drama Friendly Fire has now changed its name to Friendly Borders, after the director Osama Al Hamad received a call from Egyptian producer Tareq Al Jani requesting an alteration. Despite the drama being in its final stages of production, Al Haman was willing to make the alteration and stressed that the entire crew was on board with the change and they'd all work tirelessly to ensure the success of Friendly Borders. Middle East news portal Elaph reported that the Syrian drama was mostly shot during Ramadan and is set to debut during this year's Ramadan telly marathon. Friendly Borders will star Basem Yakhour, Andre Sakkaf, Laura Abu Asad, Majdi Mashmoushi and Gabriel Yamin, in addition to a number of stars from Syria and Lebanon. Al Bawaba
