The Arab version of American Idol will kick off auditions next month after it was announced the show will launch on MBC on December 7. The judges will be touring the Arab region in a bid to find some of the Middle East's hottest talent, starting off on September 4 in Egypt and ending their search in Lebanon on October 14. Those in the UAE can head to the Atlantis Palm Jumeirah in Dubai on September 15 from 8am. Auditions will also take place in Morocco (September 8), Kuwait (September 19), London (October 1), and Tunisia (October 5). Lebanese singer Ragheb Alame and Emirati singer Ahlam (above) have been revealed as two of the three judges, with the third set to be announced after Ramadan. In a recent interview with Ahlam, the star revealed she is getting paid more than $1 million (Dh3.68 million) to be on the Arab Idol judging panel. Nice work if you can get it.
