Cloudy skies are expected Tuesday in the northern and central parts of the Kingdom with a chance for scattered showers in the northern regions at times and southwesterly moderate to brisk winds .
According the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) daily brief, a depression centered over Turkey, will start affecting the country on Wednesday, creating partly cloudy to cloudy weather with scattered rain accompanied by thunder and hail at times that might extend gradually to the central and southern parts of the country. Winds will be westerly moderate to brisk, the department added.
Similar weather conditions will continue to prevail on Thursday with northwesterly moderate winds, the JMD noted.
Daytime temperatures expected for today will reach 14 degrees Celsius in Amman, 16 in the southern cities, and 13 in the northern governorates, dropping down to 8, 16 and 13 degrees respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 24 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 14 degrees at night, the JMD added.
