Motorists were urged to be careful this morning as an increase in fog threatened to reduce visibility on roads.
Forecasters at the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology in Abu Dhabi said visibility could be as low as 1,000m between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, Sweihan, Al Minhad and some internal and coastal areas.
Partly cloudy skies and light rain are expected across the country during the weekend with slight to moderate winds becoming fresh at times over sea.
Temperatures tend to rise and will range between 14°C and 27°C along the coast, with 13°C to 28°C expected inland. In the mountains temperatures will peak at 20°C and fall as low as 8°C.
Humidity is likely to increase overnight over some interior areas, possibly leading to more fog and mist.
Conditions in the Arabian Gulf will be moderate becoming rough at times with moderate conditions in the Sea of Oman.
