Residents across the country woke up to showers on Sunday with heavy rain forecast throughout the day.
The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology reported rain over Dubai, Al Ain, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah.
In Abu Dhabi, the morning began with overcast skies but reports promise heavy rain later in the day, indicating that the wintry spell which began two weeks ago has not yet ended.
