The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology, NCMS, has warned drivers to exercise caution, reduce speed, and leave enough distance between vehicles due to sandy and dusty winds expected in some parts of the country.
In its statement, the NCMS said that that the weather on Thursday and Friday will be humid with a chance of morning fog especially in the west, and cloudy at times during the day.
The statement also said that cumulus clouds are expected in the east during the afternoon and there could be some rainfall over mountainous areas on Thursday.
Winds will be moderate easterly to northeasterly, freshening at times causing blowing dust and sand. Moderate seas are expected in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman.
For today's update, the NCMS shared that it will be a hot day with the temperatures nearing 47C.
