A new study carried out by Dr A. El Ghalbzouri, an award-winning researcher at Leiden University Medical Center, confirms the healing effect of IMEDEEN man•age•ment’s Marine Complex™ in irritated skin. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, 78% of men suffer from skin irritation caused by shaving. The daily shave destroys the skin’s barrier function, causing micro cuts and abrasions which can result in a range of skin reactions from increased sensitivity to painful and unsightly razor burn. In an earlier study* Dr Ghalbzouri observed that supplementation with IMEDEEN´s Marine Complex™ significantly increases the amount of Laminin-332 in the basement membrane. Laminin-332 is a protein which triggers the synthesis of new skin tissue and is essential for skin healing. His latest research used in-vitro and ex-vivo technology to evaluate the normalizing effect of the Marine Complex on irritated skin caused through both shaving and sensitivity to grooming products. Results confirmed that the Marine Complex found in IMEDEEN man•age•ment skincare tablets can help: -Stimulate the generation of new skin cells at basal level and increase epidermal thickness -Lessen irritation caused by shaving gels and personal care products - Reduce epidermal stress caused through shaving -Normalise the skin post-shave Healthy, good-looking skin from within IMEDEEN man•age•ment skincare tablets offer men a no-fuss way to take extra care of their skin. Just two tablets a day are all that’s needed to improve skin quality and performance from the inside, where it matters most.
