Common Mistakes to Avoid When Designing your Kitchen

As your kitchen is the most functional area in your home, you should plan well before your designing task because any mistake can cost you an additional amount of money. The first mistake is to place the stove, refrigerator, and sink away from one another. These areas are called the kitchen triangle because they are the main functional workspaces that you will be moving through them. The kitchen design rule says that the kitchen triangle shouldn’t be less than 10 feet and greater than 25 feet. Another mistake is to create a plenty of storage space on the expense of your countertops as you will need a workspace to prepare your food.

The round kitchen island at the middle of your kitchen or facing your kitchen triangle will save your traffic area and let you communicate with your guests while cooking. The kitchen rule says that you should leave at least 42 inches free space around your island to get an efficient flow in your kitchen.
