Agriculture Minister Adel El Beltagy on Sunday said the national project to reclaim one million feddans nationwide would be completed in 2017.
He added that a new project to reclaim other three million feddans would be completed in 2030.
The project includes allocating lands for different social groups and young people through establishing joint-stock companies, the minister said.
He added that the project aims to create new industrial-farming communities to eliminate the population density in the valley and the delta.
The project will depend on the groundwater by 80% while the rest will be get through the Nile's water.
