Dubai Customs has announced the launch of an online open contest, entitled “Nema”, for everyone to share their proposals and contributions in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The best proposals for sustainable and economically-rewarding projects in the fields of environment, community, trade activity, work environment, national identity and customer service, will be chosen. Nema was specifically designed to encourage online public contributions in CSR programs, enabling all segments of society from different nationalities in the UAE and beyond to exchange new CSR-related concepts and ideas. “The aim behind the Nema contest is to encourage all people from their positions to contribute to their community and propose sustainable and economically-rewarding enterprises that fall within any of the institutions’ corporate social responsibilities that can be adopted and implemented for the benefit of the society,” said Ms. Feryal Tawakul, Executive Director of Community Affairs and Government Partnership Division, Dubai Customs. Proposals can be submitted electronically through Dubai Customs’ e-mail: csr.dc@dubaicustoms.ae or its Facebook : Dubai Customs CSR, and twitter: @DubaicustomsCSR till Sept 30. Proposers of the winning projects will be awarded cash money and will have the opportunity to be part of ventures they suggested. Dubai Customs staff is not eligible however their families and friends can take part in the online contest.
