Environmentally friendly electric cars have joined Dubai Police's expanding fleet, it was announced yesterday. Launching the latest addition, Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Dubai Police Chief, stressed the police were keen to adopt the latest methods in offering their services to the public and to keep up with the UAE's world-renowned efforts in the health, safety and environment sectors. The cars will be used as patrols as well as service cars for transporting employees and visitors inside the police headquarters. Introducing environmentally friendly police patrol vehicles is a step towards the sustainable use of fuel and reducing carbon emissions and other harmful gases, he said.
