Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry underlined the importance of cooperation and confidence-building between the parties concerned with the Ethiopian Grand Renaissance Dam.
In statements to the Sudan News Agency (SUNA), Shoukry said the three countries – Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia – are going through a new phase of confidence-building, cooperation and joint action to achieve their interests while putting into account Egypt’s rights regarding the Nile water flow and Ethiopia’s rights to development.
The Document of the Declaration of Principles on the Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, which was signed earlier by the three countries, makes the dam beneficial to the three and sets an agreement for its annual operation, he added.
