Egypt will never give in one inch of its Nile water quota said, Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Mohamed Abdel Motaleb on Tuesday. In statements to MENA on the sidelines of his visit to the New Valley, he added that Egypt rather seeks to increase its water quota through enhancing cooperation with its Nile Basin partners through harnessing the immense quantities of wasted water. The coming meeting, grouping Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia, about the Ethiopian dam, will see a turning point in coordination and cooperation between the three countries in an attempt to meet their needs of water and electricity along with other development needs, he added. He denied reports about so-called clashes and wars over water among Nile Basin countries.
