Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Hossam Moghazy said Saturday that the Egyptian and Sudanese ministers of irrigation and agriculture will participate in the meetings of the Egyptian-Sudanese Agricultural Integration Company in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum.
The meetings, slated for 25 to 27 July, will include a field visit to be paid by the ministers to the site of the Egyptian-Sudanese project implemented by the company in the Blue Nile state where 20,000 feddans are being planted.
About 100,000 feddans will be cultivated with cotton and sunflower.
In press statements on Saturday, the minister said that the meeting will take up measures needed to secure water resources in the region and digging wells to provide water for the agricultural and industrial projects.
