Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mohamed Shaker left here on Tuesday heading for the United Arab Emirates to take part in the annual conference of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) that will be held in Abu Dhabi on January 17-19.
He will later take part in Abu Dhabi week for sustainable energies that will be held on January 19-24.
IRENA is an intergovernmental organization to promote adoption and sustainable use of renewable energy. It was founded in 2009 and its statute entered into force on 8 July 2010. The agency is headquartered in Abu Dhabi.
