Environment Minister Khaled Fahmy, accompanied by Kafr el Sheikh Governor Ossama Abdel Wahid, will open on Sunday a drinking water station in Hamoul Township.
During his visit, the minister will inspect "Kitshner drainage project," for which 6.6 billion pounds have been allocated to purify its water and re-use it in irrigating lands.
Meanwhile, Undersecretary of the Agriculture Ministry Mohamed Abdullah said in a statement on Saturday that a protocol was signed with the Environment Ministry to recycle 10,000 tons of rice straw to be used in producing organic fertilizers.
